Pay by debit/credit card fee increases

Beginning April 1, members paying bills with debit/credit cards will see a processing fee increase.

The fee will increase from $4.95 to $5.25, per transaction.

“This is a straight pass through fee from our vendor, who handles the transactions for our credit card payment services,” MTEMC Vice President of Finance Bernie Steen said. “Unfortunately, it’s an increase in the cost of doing business.”

MTEMC has several free options for bill payment...
1. Bank draft
2. Payment by phone using electronic check.
3. Online payment using electronic check.
4. Mail check or money order to office.
5. Come by local office.
