Middle Tennessee Electric members elected three incumbents to Board of Directors' seats during the cooperative’s Annual Meeting Saturday at Middle Tennessee State University.
Earning new terms were Steve Seger of Williamson County (District 1), Will Jordan of Rutherford County (District 2) and Gordon Bone of Wilson County (District 4).
MTEMC board members serve rotating three-year terms.
The annual meeting, held at MTSU’s Murphy Center, completed a week-long opportunity for the cooperative’s members to vote for their board representatives.
In an organizational meeting following the voting, the board re-elected Gordon Bone as its chairman, Charlie Bowman of Cannon County as vice chairman and Will Jordan of Rutherford County as secretary-treasurer.
Approximately 1,000 people attended this year’s annual meeting. As part of its bylaws, MTEMC has held a members’ meeting every year since the not-for-profit cooperative was organized in 1936 by a group of Middle Tennessee citizens.
