Middle Tennessee Electric will be working with Tennessee Valley Authority and the Tennessee Department of Transportation Sept. 16 to move a house along Manchester Highway in Rutherford County.
“The effort is going to include raising some of our electrical lines and moving them out of the way for the truck and the house,” MTEMC Working Service Foreman Mike Cauthron said. “This will cause some power interruptions for some of our members living along Manchester Highway.”
Specifically, the affected locations include from Joe B. Jackson Parkway to Hughes Road (primarily on the east side of Manchester Highway). Triple Crown Farms, Churchill Farms, Thompson Grove and the Green Property are among the subdivisions to be affected by the move. Portions of East Gum Road may also be affected.
The effort will cause sporadic power outages in these vicinities from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
