As on-line users have probably already noticed, Middle Tennessee Electric's website has a new design.
The new design came on line at about 6:45 this morning. Access to MTEMC webpages was down from about 3-6 a.m. as the cutover to the design was completed.
"We hope the new design is more user friendly," said MTEMC's Chris Jones, vice president of marketing and communications. "All the information from the old site is there. In some cases, information was moved around a bit if it seemed it logically belonged somewhere else. For example, information about rates and bills is now in the 'Your Account' tab at the top right of the page."
New features, said Jones, include forms for customers to start, stop or transfer their electric service. There is also a more complete "Frequently Asked Questions" section.
