MTEMC is partnering with TVA to offer in-home energy evaluations for members who are willing to pay $150.
Members can get the $150 back if they follow the energy evaluation recommendations from a TVA-certified home evaluator.
“An evaluator will review your home efficiency needs and create a report outlining the potential energy-efficiency modifications and available cash incentives or financing,” MTEMC Residential Marketing Supervisor Tom Moreland said. “After the visit by the evaluator, estimates for completing your home improvements must be performed by a member of the MTEMC/TVA Quality Contractor Network.
“The names and contact numbers of the approved contractors will be provided by the evaluator when the visit is made to your home.”
Depending on the improvements made, participants can earn a cash incentive for half the cost of qualified modifications, up to $500 maximum. Participants may take advantage of a convenient financing plan, subject to credit approval.
In order to be eligible for the rebates, the homeowner must have an evaluation completed. Those members who participated in the pilot program last year would not be eligible for incentive under this program.
