Fallen tree knocks out power to 3,600 in Fairview

A fallen tree’s limbs knocked out power to approximately 3,600 members last night in the Fairview area.

The outage, which lasted from about 6:50 p.m. to 7:26 p.m., was the result of a tree that fell into MTEMC’s power lines.

“MTEMC crews were immediately dispatched and worked until power was restored,” MTEMC Communications Coordinator Todd Palmer said. “The tree was being cut down by a private property owner.”
