MTEMC’s power issues in Blackman, Smyrna resolved

Middle Tennessee Electric officials say the sporadic power outages that have affected the Blackman Community and parts of Smyrna this last week have been resolved.

“Some of our Rutherford County communities have been experiencing off and on power outages lately,” MTEMC Communications Coordinator Todd Palmer said. “Our crews found the outages were being caused by a newly constructed section of line in the Blackman Community, which needed readjusting.

“After running some tests, we were able to determine where the fault was occurring and the technical issues were fixed. We’re sorry for any inconveniences this has caused.”
