The Tennessee Valley Authority will be performing some electrical work this weekend, causing some Middle Tennessee Electric members in eastern Wilson County – including Watertown – to be without power for a brief period Sunday morning.
The scheduled work will cause approximately 5,000 members to experience a short power outage, approximately five minutes in length, just after 12 a.m. (midnight) Sunday.
Specifically, the affected locations will be east of Lebanon, south of Trousdale Ferry Pike to the southern Wilson County line and east of Linwood Road and Cedars of Lebanon Park to the eastern Wilson County line. The outage will also include the adjacent service locations in Dekalb and Smith counties.
The Tennessee Valley Authority generates power for 155 local power distributors across the Southeast, including Middle Tennessee Electric.
