The rates MTEMC members pay for residential service rank among the lowest in the nation...in fact, MTEMC's residential rate is about 20 percent below the national average.

MTEMC charges 8.314 cents per kilowatt-hour for each kilowatt-hour consumed. A basic monthly customer charge of $9.79 and a TVA Fuel Cost Adjustment (which is updated monthly) is also factored into a residential bill. The current TVA Fuel Cost Adjustment is -.575 cents per kilowatt-hour.
