Heating and air conditioning

Loans

It's by far the largest energy user in your home -- heating and air conditioning. So when you're faced with choosing a heat-and-air unit for your home, it will affect your budget for years to come.

Fortunately, Middle Tennessee Electric is here to help. Your cooperative can help you finance a new heat pump 14 SEER at 6%. The loan can have up to a 10-year term with no penalty for early payoff.

To qualify for MTEMC's Heat Pump Program, applicants must be the owner of the home and property where the heat pump is to be located and pass an independent credit review.

To begin the process, the customer contacts a certified contractor from Middle Tennessee Electric's list of approved heating and air contractors.

Nonfinanced

For a nonfinanced heating and air installation, an approved Quality Contractor Network (QCN) heating and air contractor is required for installations to receive an incentive.

Incentives

  • Quality Contractor Network (QCN) member required for all incentives
  • $100 for replacing gas heat with 13 SEER/HSPF 7.7 or greater electric or dual-fuel heat pump (1 incentive per dwelling)
