At our core, MTEMC is here to serve you, our members. PrePay is one of our billing options that builds on that core by allowing you to add money to your account before you consume energy. We’ll calculate your usage each day and deduct your consumption from your account’s balance. This option is great for those who want to pay for their electricity as they go or want to establish a payment option to reduce their outstanding balance.
It’s important to realize that you fund your account when convenient (or necessary), then monitor and manage your consumption on the myMTEMC mobile app and web portal. This allows you to effectively balance your energy usage and your payments with little effort. Actively monitoring energy usage gives you more control, thus helping you to save.
Our PrePay option is available only for residential members. You can convert to PrePay at any time. Additionally, members can sign up for PrePay balance alerts through the myMTEMC mobile app. New MTEMC members who enroll avoid the need for a deposit on their account.
